Here’s what you’ll need to make these delicious Turkey & Stuffing Roll-Ups:
- 1 pound turkey breast (thinly sliced, or use deli turkey for convenience)
- 2 cups stuffing mix (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chicken broth (for moistening the stuffing)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for that gooey, melty goodness)
- ½ cup cranberry sauce (optional, for a sweet and tart contrast)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for drizzling)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Stuffing
- Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This way, it’ll be nice and hot when your roll-ups are ready to bake.
- Make the Stuffing: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the stuffing mix and chicken broth. Stir until the stuffing is well moistened. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the liquid.
Step 2: Prepare the Turkey Roll-Ups
- Slice the Turkey: If you’re using a turkey breast, make sure it’s sliced thinly. If you’re using deli turkey, just grab your slices!
- Assemble the Roll-Ups: Lay out the turkey slices on a clean surface. Take about 2-3 tablespoons of the prepared stuffing and place it at one end of each turkey slice.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the stuffing. If you’re using cranberry sauce, add a small dollop on top for a burst of sweetness.
- Roll it Up: Gently roll the turkey over the stuffing and cheese, starting from the end where the stuffing is placed. Roll tightly but be careful not to tear the turkey.
Step 3: Bake the Roll-Ups
- Place in Baking Dish: As you roll each one, place it seam-side down in a greased baking dish. This will help keep everything in place while baking.
- Drizzle with Olive Oil: Once all the roll-ups are in the dish, drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top. This helps them get golden brown and adds a nice flavor.
- Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!
- Garnish: Once out of the oven, let the roll-ups rest for a few minutes. If you’d like, sprinkle some fresh parsley over the top for a pop of color and freshness.
- Slice and Serve: Cut the roll-ups in half for a fun pre
