  • 4 ripe peaches (fresh or frozen, peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1/4 cup honey (or sugar, depending on your preference)
  • 2 cups ice (crushed or cubed works fine)
  • 1/2 cup cold water (to help with blending)
  • Optional garnish: Fresh mint leaves or a lemon wedge

Instructions

  • Prepare the Peaches:
    If you’re using fresh peaches, start by washing and peeling them. To peel them easily, you can blanch them by placing them in boiling water for about 30 seconds, then transferring them to an ice bath. This step helps the skin come off effortlessly. Once peeled, chop the peaches into chunks. If you’re using frozen peaches, simply let them thaw slightly so they’re easier to blend.
  • Juice the Lemons:
    Squeeze your lemons to get about half a cup of fresh lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice makes all the difference here—don’t go for bottled juice if you can help it. The fresh flavor of lemon adds the perfect zesty bite to your slush.
  • Blend the Ingredients:
    In a high-speed blender, combine the chopped peaches, lemon juice, honey (or your sweetener of choice), ice, and water. Start blending on a low setting to get everything mixed together, then gradually increase the speed to high until the mixture is smooth and slushy.
  • Taste and Adjust:
    Here’s where you can get creative! Taste the slush and decide if you want it sweeter or more tart. If you prefer more sweetness, add a little extra honey or sugar. For a tangier slush, squeeze in a little more lemon juice. Blend again until it’s just right.
  • Serve and Garnish:
    Pour your peach lemonade slush into glasses and garnish with a lemon wedge or fresh mint for that extra pop of color. You can even add a fun paper straw for a little more summer flair!
