Ingredients
Delicious Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders: juicy beef, flavorful cowboy butter, and fresh toppings on soft sliders. Perfect for any gathering!
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Cowboy Butter
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Mix everything together until well combined. You can use a fork or a hand mixer for a fluffier consistency.
- Once mixed, set the Cowboy Butter aside or transfer it to the fridge for later use.
Step 2: Prepare the Steak
- Season the flank steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the pan. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time depending on your preferred doneness. You want it nice and brown on the outside and juicy on the inside!
Step 3: Rest the Steak
- Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This helps retain the juices for maximum flavor.
- After resting, slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. This ensures tenderness in every bite.
Step 4: Assemble the Sliders
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns in half. Place the bottom half of each bun on a baking sheet.
- Layer the sliced steak generously on the bottom half of the buns.
- Top the steak with shredded cheddar cheese—let that cheese melt beautifully!
- Spread a generous dollop of Cowboy Butter on the top half of the buns and place them on top of the sliders.
Step 5: Bake the Sliders
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
- If you want an extra crispy top, you can turn on the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, but keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
- Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Slice them apart and serve with extra Cowboy Butter on the side for dipping.
